Julie and Eoin – A Beautifully Wild Wedding in the Heart of Donegal

Julie and Eoin’s wedding day was a true celebration of love, family, and the rugged beauty of Donegal—a place where the landscape feels like part of the story.

The ceremony took place at the Sacred Heart Church in Dunlewey, a stunning location nestled beneath the mountains. With Julie's family and friends travelling from Scotland and Eoin's from Belfast and beyond, it felt like a beautiful coming together of two worlds in one of Ireland’s most dramatic and awe-inspiring settings.

After the ceremony, we took a short drive to one of Donegal’s hidden gems—The Old Church in Dunlewey. Set against a backdrop of rolling mist, rugged hills, and that unmistakable Donegal atmosphere, it made for some truly unforgettable moments. The clouds hung low, sweeping across the landscape in that mysterious, cinematic way Donegal is known for. Moody skies, soft light, and two people completely lost in the moment—it was magic.

Then it was off to An Chuirt Hotel for the reception, where everyone settled in for a night of warm toasts, brilliant craic, and joyful celebration. The energy in the room was incredible—so many smiling faces, heartfelt speeches, and a packed dance floor to close out the night.

Julie and Eoin’s wedding had that perfect blend of heartfelt moments, breathtaking scenery, and real connection. It was a pleasure to capture every bit of it.
